CO-ACC has many opportunities to be involved through the following Committees and/or Networks. Each meets quarterly, at a minimum, to work towards pre-set goals. The Chair is invited to attend the quarterly CO-ACC Board meetings to provide an opportunity to network with the full Board of Directors and to enable their involvement with the broader CO-ACC goals. The Marketing Committee promotes CO-ACC’s events and offerings. The Committee is tasked with finding better ways to distribute CO-ACC materials and reach targeted audiences.

The Membership Committee is focused on member engagement, serving the needs of the in-house bar, and fostering the development of Networks within the Chapter.

Public Interest (includes Pro-Bono, Diversity, Advocacy and Community Service)
The Public Interest Committee works to provide meaningful pro bono and community service opportunities to our members. The Committee also promotes diversity of the in-house bar, and advocates positions within the larger legal community which are relevant to in-house practitioners of the law.

The Sponsorship and Programming Committee is responsible for engaging potential and current sponsors (including law firms and non-law firms) to partner with the Chapter. The Committee serves as liaisons to its sponsors and will assign and oversee specific assignments of Board members as liaisons. The Committee is responsible for planning and arranging for CLE programming for the Chapter. The programming may include programming provided by sponsors or arranged by the Chapter, like the Signature Event. The Committee will oversee the activities of the Signature Event subcommittee.

Signature Event (Sub-Committee of Sponsorship/Program)
The Signature Event subcommittee, under the leadership of the Chapter Vice President, is responsible for planning the Chapter’s Signature Event. The Signature Event helps to connect our Chapter Mission with professional development and leadership skills education for our members.

The CLO network brings together the most senior legal executives from our member companies to discuss the issues and challenges they face regardless of the industries they support.

The Finance network brings members together across the spectrum of financial services practice to discuss the latest legal issues and trends.
Chair – TJ Hersch
The Health Law network provides a forum for in-house professionals to discuss, review, and analyze the latest case law, legislative, and regulatory actions that affect their clients. The network also liaises with other specialty organizations that also focus on various aspects of health law and the healthcare industry.

Labor & Employment
The Labor & Employment (L&E) network is focused on bringing together labor and employment attorneys for networking, benchmarking and brainstorming on labor and employment law issues in their practice. The L&E network activities will include providing sponsored programming and regular discussion about trending legal labor and employment issues that are shaping the practice area and a forum for information sharing on best practices. On a regular basis, the network will designate part of its events as a time for members to network among themselves.
Co-Chairs – Danielle Linert
The Small Law network offers a forum for attorneys in small legal departments (3 or fewer attorneys) to meet periodically to network and exchange ideas, experiences and best practices on legal issues and law department management.

The Technology network is focused on technology issues in the law and your practice. The network sponsors programming featuring trending legal technology issues and new technologies that are shaping legal practice.
