Gold Chapter of Distinction Award 2023

ACC Singapore is delighted to have been selected as a winner of the ACC 2023 Gold Chapter of Distinction Award!  The board of directors has been recognised for fostering community amongst our members, adopting practices in line with the ACC Chapter Requirements and Recommendations, hosting outstanding programmes, and engaging a wide variety of in-house counsel in the region.

We are excited to continue to develop our programmes and membership engagement activities in 2024 by offering our members more learning and networking opportunities than in previous years, with more networking events, our first family day and an event specifically tailored to those new to an in-house role.

The ACC In-house Counsel Certification program is an intensive program designed to specifically help in-house counsel become proficient in the essential skills critical for an in-house legal career. This comprehensive program is not tied to any specific country’s laws, but instead draws from the experience of ACC's global membership to identify what is essential to the successful in-house practice. The program is designed to develop three competency areas: Stakeholder Relations, Department Management, and Legal Services.

The certification program is a blend of various learning methods, including individual reflection, self-paced learning, virtual instruction, hands-on projects, and teamwork experience. It concludes with a final assessment, which upon passing, participants earn the In-house Counsel Certified (ICC) designation. It is important to note that the ICC designation is valid for one year from the month that a candidate passes the final assessment. After the first year, ICC certificants must maintain their certification by engaging in continuing legal professional development (CLPD) activities and paying an annual fee.

To learn more about the program and its upcoming dates, please visit the ACC Credentialing Institute website. If you have any questions, contact certification@acc.com.
