Developed and launched by ACC Foundation, ACC, and Ethisphere, this assessment will help measure where DEI programs are currently and outline key steps for improvement.

Washington – The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is proud to announce the launch of the ACC Foundation DEI Maturity Assessment, powered by Ethisphere. Developed through a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the teams at ACC and Ethisphere, this innovative resource takes the methodology to evaluate progress from the acclaimed ACC Foundation DEI Maturity Model and creates an online assessment module, which allows organizations to quickly and easily benchmark their DE&I efforts to those of their peers and receive back a written self-assessment generated by the module for the organization’s internal review. The best part is that this tool is offered as a free service by ACC and Ethisphere for use by the entire legal and business communities.

“Many leaders want to build or improve their DEI program and are just unsure of where to start or how to move forward as they face limited time and resources.  The ACC Foundation DEI Maturity Assessment is a game-changer to quickly and easily assess current DEI programs and identify short- and long-term steps for improvement,” said Jennifer Chen, executive director of the ACC Foundation.  “Building on the incredible work to develop the DEI Maturity Model, this partnership with Ethisphere is an exciting opportunity for us to help legal departments and entire organizations to easily identify the steps and tools needed to create comprehensive DEI-related policies, and it’s a free resource,” Chen emphasized.

“We all know that a diverse and inclusive workforce is central to long-term success of any organization, and a critical part of the ‘S’ in ESG. Bringing together Ethisphere’s expertise in enabling global leaders to measure and improve practices, with the ACC Foundation’s DEI Maturity Model, offers a truly efficient and impactful way to move forward on DEI. For us, it is also an opportunity to advance the DE&I values that are foundational to our work at Ethisphere. We are delighted to partner with the ACC team on this important initiative,” said Erica Salmon Byrne, CEO, Ethisphere.

“I am so grateful for the hard work and dedication behind the development of this new resource,” said Veta T. Richardson, ACC president and CEO. “I have been a DEI advocate for more than 25 years and I believe this combination of the ACC Foundation DEI Maturity Model with the power of Ethisphere’s innovative self-assessment technology has produced a truly groundbreaking new resource. I encourage all executives who are seeking to take their DEI efforts to the next level to sign on and take full advantage of this brand new resource!”
