Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC San Diego

California’s  wage and hour laws, regulations, and corporate compliance are among the  most stringent and confusing in the nation, and there has been a dramatic and sustained increase in representative wage and hour litigation over the years  – through both class actions and as representative claims brought  pursuant to the Private Attorneys General Act of 2004 (PAGA). This  presentation will provide an update of the key changes in the wage and  hour arena and will discuss best practices and recommended policies and  strategies to minimize or resolve wage and hour claims.

This presentation will:

  • Examine recent legislation and case law that affect wage and hour issues at both the state and federal levels;
  • Identify  some of the most commonly made wage and hour errors and how to avoid  run-ins with the Department of Labor and state labor agencies;
  • Explore the latest litigation trends concerning COVID-19, remote work, hybrid work, and vaccinations

Presentation:  4:00-5:00 pm
Networking Happy Hour:  5:00-6:30 pm
