About ACC Hong Kong

Introduction to ACC Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association (HKCCA) was established March 2003 as the pioneer association representing in-house lawyers in Hong Kong. The association was formed to provide a range of benefits and services for the Hong Kong In-house community including continuing legal education, a platform for networking and the exchange of ideas, information and experiences. In 2011, HKCCA converted from an unincorporated association into a company limited by guarantee. Under the guidance and of a committed volunteer Executive Committee, HKCCA membership grew to over 800 individuals representing a range of industries and organisations throughout Hong Kong.

In 2017, following extensive discussions, HKCCA joined the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) global network and rebranded as ACC Hong Kong. This decision was taken to ensure members had access to a range of global resources and research that reflected the global in-house profession, while also ensuring members would continue to benefit from local events and resources. Today ACC Hong Kong members form part of a global network of more than 40,000 in-house counsel employed by over 10,000 organisations in more than 85 countries. ACC Hong Kong continues to proudly represent the interests of lawyers working for corporations and government throughout Hong Kong.

Our Patron

The patron of ACC Hong Kong is Justice Joseph Fok. Justice Fok was appointed as Senior Counsel in 1999. He was appointed as a Recorder of the Court of First Instance of the High Court from 2003 to 2009, and Judge of the Court of First Instance of the High Court on February 1, 2010.
